Old Bridge Basketball Association (OBBA) is thrilled to continue its Recreation basketball program, affectionately known as the OBBA program, dedicated to enriching the lives of our community's youth through the love of basketball.

Due to popular demand, OBBA proudly introduces the Spring Developmental League, aimed at revitalizing the joy of basketball for all participants.

What to Expect:

 ** Limited Teams:** Ensuring personalized attention and maximum engagement.

 ** Focus on Fun and Development:** Prioritizing skill enhancement and enjoyment over competition.

 **No Championships:** Emphasizing the journey of growth and camaraderie over winning titles.

 **An 8-Game Season:** Providing ample opportunities for players to showcase their progress.

** As parents and coaches, Our focus should be on developing skills and a love of basketball by teaching:

- Ball Handling Drills: Enhancing dribbling skills for better control on the court.

- One-on-One Moves: Mastering techniques to outmaneuver opponents.

- Finishing Techniques: Perfecting layups and scoring under pressure.

- Proper Shooting Mechanics: Cultivating a consistent and effective shooting stroke.

- Triple Threat Play: Equipping players with versatile offensive options.

- On-Ball Defensive Drills: Strengthening defensive prowess for a well-rounded game.

Skills Development Program - Winter 2025

As part of our long-standing tradition of providing the best skills and agility training in Old Bridge Township for athletes in our community, the  Old Bridge Basketball Association is excited to offer a free Skills Development clinic to all 3rd through 8th Grade players who are registered for the 2025 Winter Rec season!

The sessions are free but you must register your child as space is limited to 30 players per session.

When: Sunday mornings:

                 1/12, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23   

                 10am -11:30am 3rd through 5th Grades
                 11:30 -1:00pm  6th through  8th Grades
 

Where: Old Bridge High School (Back Gym - Door 16)

Rec 2025 Season - Winter 2025

Old Bridge Basketball's Recreation basketball program is excited to be back serving the youth of our community.

We have always tried to provide a safe environment for our kids to play basketball. 

• Teams will not be drafted until we have enough coaches
• We play a 10-game season starting in January
• OBBA strives to divide teams evenly based on talent. Please see the rules for teammate requests here
• All Coaches must adhere to the Equal Playing time rules
• Championship Day is Saturday March 29, 2025 for most Divisions.
• The Jr and Sr Divisions end before HS tryouts are open.
• The Instructional Division is held on Sunday morning at Old Bridge HS starting in January
